Springtime at the Castle Green! Come and fall in love with one of the most enchanting venues in Southern California, the Castle Green.
On Sunday, June 8, enjoy just one of two opportunities a year to explore the grounds of historic Castle Green. Tour Pasadena’s 125-year-old Castle Green and the unique opportunity to view rarely-seen public rooms, and select private apartments -- each uniquely different. Be a time traveler and step back 125 years in time to tour the historic Castle Green with its Moorish and Turkish rooms, Grand Salon, and palm-filled sunroom. Admire the newly reproduced glass shades on the veranda hanging lanterns.
The tour is self-guided. Listen to experts discuss the history of the building and see their pop-up museum of artifacts from the Castle Green archives, including the castings of the “grotesques” and the decorative plaster work used to restore the Bridge exterior. Sip lemonade on the veranda and enjoy live entertainment.
Proceeds benefit Friends of the Castle Green restoration project. The Friends of the Castle Green was formed in 1993 as a support group for the historic Castle Green. The purpose of the Friends was to raise funds for historic restoration to the standards of the Secretary of the Interior and to raise awareness of the significance and beauty of this important building in the history of Pasadena.
