Founded in 2011, 21 Choices Frozen Yogurt serves fresh frozen yogurts with flavors that change daily. Guests can personalize their yogurt by choosing from a wide array of delicious add-ins that include brownies, pretzels, animal cookies, nuts, and fresh fruit.

Named for the days when it served well drinks for $.35, the 35er Bar became a Route 66 mainstay after opening in 1963. Family-owned and operated since then, the bar features more than a dozen beer varieties on tap with a strong focus on local and regional breweries; more beer options are served up in cans and bottles. A small menu of simple pub grub (nachos, fish ‘n’ chips, chicken wings, chili cheese fries) helps fuel the libation consumption. Numerous televisions keep you up to date on sporting events.

From chef/owners Vanessa and Thomas Tilaka Kalb, Agnes Restaurant and Cheesery is inspired by the timeless tradition of gathering around a table with loved ones to share good food, good drinks, and of course, excellent cheese. Rooted in classic American regional cooking, the menu takes an honest and elevated approach to nostalgia and comfort. Located on tree-lined Green Street, the restaurant is housed in the former horse stable of the Pasadena Fire Department built in 1922. Architect Oonagh Ryan/ORA designed the space to include a large, outdoor patio in the back, the main dining room overlooking the open kitchen’s hearth, and a bar/lounge and takeaway cheesery in the front.

Long after its start in Berkeley and then West Hollywood in the 1920s, Barney’s Beanery opened its Pasadena location in 2006, becoming a favorite on Colorado Boulevard for its rock ‘n’ roll-pop culture décor and dozens of beers on tap. Boba Cha Cha's specialty tea selection has been carefully curated by Preeya Poopichayanpongse, who spent years studying tea or as it is known “cha”.   Boba Cha Cha serves an array of delicious creations that not only appeal to sweet cravings but also provide health benefits.  The tea is slow-brewed one cup at a time to not only enhance each tea leaf’s flavors but also bring out the beneficial elements of each cha. The authentic boba - tapioca balls - is made of cassava root and prepared daily in-house.  In addition to traditional boba, you can choose from a variety of fruity pearls to add to your juice or tea.

Bodegon No. 69 offers an authentic Peruvian dining experience.  Try their delicious traditional dishes, including seafood, pork, and beef plates.  They even prepare their own Alfajores - silky smooth dulce de leche sandwiched between two melt-in-your-mouth shortbread cookies.

A Taiwanese hot soup specialty restaurant, Boiling Point has established itself as one of the most popular chains in Southern California. Champion’s Curry got its start in 1961 in the city of Kanazawa, the urban center of a region known for some of Japan’s most discerning food lovers. Chef Yoshikazu Tanaka opened the first Champion’s Curry to serve his own unique spin on this traditional recipe: his curry boasted an incredible richness, both in texture and flavor. Over time, this style came to be known as “Kanazawa curry” throughout Japan, and we take great pride in serving the original. Now available in the US, Chef Tanaka’s original secret recipe takes advantage of fresh ingredients, and is updated for a great fast-casual curry diner experience.

Chong Qing Yao Mei brings authentic Sichuan hot pot to Old Pasadena. First, choose from seven delicious broths, and then from a wide selection of meat, seafood, exotic delicacies, vegetables, and noodles, to create your own traditional Chinese hot pot experience.

Modeled after a Bavarian Bier Haus, Der Wolf features 20 German and German-inspired craft beers, some unique to Der Wolf. Bavarian-inspired dishes – think sausages, spätzle mac, pretzels, and schnitzel – are served on communal tables under imposing chandeliers. Make sure to visit the Der Rathskeller bar downstairs: It features an incredible array of murals that calls both on mythological creatures, Teutonic battles, animals, and brand imagery from craft distilleries.

Dog Haus Biergarten creates hand-crafted hormone- and antibiotic-free hot dogs, sausages, burgers, and one Bad Mutha Clucka, all served on King’s Hawaiian rolls. The bar features a rotating selection of craft beers on tap and in cans, as well as wine and hand-crafted cocktails. Visitors can dine and drink inside or out: The restaurant's patio is one of the largest in the Old Pasadena. A hidden gem beloved by locals and visitors alike, Dog Haus Biergarten is located in one of the district's beautiful historic buildings and can be accessed via the alley between Arroyo Parkway and Raymond Avenue, just north of Green Street.

Dos Besos occupies an inviting stand-alone brick building on Union Street, that now includes a charming outdoor patio. Owner "Kit" Romano-Llobet brings her experience in catering to bear, offering specialty paellas, tapas, and other delicious Spanish/Mediterranean cuisine. 

Edwin Mills takes its name from the roads intersecting at its door: Mills Place and Edwin Alley. The lively gastropub-tavern features quality cocktails and an urban-American menu with burgers, fish tacos, salads, and various entrees. The comfy eatery is housed in a building that is more than 100 years old; its ambiance showcases this history with the original exposed beams and brick walls, as well as reclaimed wood accents.

Entre Nous French Bistro opens in a cozy setting on Green Street - the owners, Mathias Wakrat and Jean-Christophe Febbrari, are former partners at Cafe Beaujolais in Eagle Rock and hail from the French Riviera. While the fare is decidedly French - rack of lamb, duck confit, and bouillabaisse, for example - the wine list features selections from across the globe, including California, New Zealand, and a rosé from Wakrat’s hometown, Saint-Tropez.

Family-owned and operated, Father Nature Lavash Bistro is a counter-service restaurant serving fresh, natural, and authentic Mediterranean foods. Lunch crowds seek out the falafel wraps, shawerma and fatoush salads, and hummus plate, among many other favorites.

Named after a term that references women who sell fresh-caught fish, Fishwives brings New England-style seafood with a twist to the West Coast. Smorgasburg pop-up favorite, Kinrose Creamery has opened its first permanent location in Old Pasadena. Owners Maria Oveysi and Moe Kamal make ice cream that drew on the Persian and Egyptian flavors they were raised on. The menu features flavors like baklava, saffron pistachio and rose, kanafeh, and sour cherry, served with Iranian cotton candy. While they will offer their staples year-round, Oveysi and Kamal also plan to add special flavors around Nowruz, Ramadan, and more holidays.

Their location on Mills Place offers a family-friendly seating area complete with mid-century furniture and a Pac-Man machine.

Ladies and Gentlemen is a one-of-a-kind speakeasy located in the basement of a building in Pasadena. The entrance is disguised as a restroom, but once you say the secret password and enter, you'll be transported to a magical world of cocktails and luxury. The owner, Leo Temory, has taken mixology to the next level with chef bartenders who expertly craft visually stunning and delicious cocktails.  Order a pizza if you need sustenance for those sips.

LavShash Kebab offers authentic flavors and culinary traditions of the Mediterranean with a variety of dishes including juicy and savory kebabs and mouthwatering steak, all made with the freshest and finest ingredients. Prolece Tea serves a variety of tea drinks, including boba, house milk tea, rose on lychee tea, and jasmine green tea, among many others. 

For over two decades, Q’s Billard Club has been a neighborhood restaurant, sports bar, and late-night hang-out, located above Barney’s Beanery. Q’s features a delicious menu, 10 pool tables, more than 45 TVs, three outdoor patios, a DJ spinning your favorite music, and a friendly staff to assist you.

In 2015, the well-established Japanese chain Ramen Tatsunoya chose Old Pasadena as its first U.S. location, and the eatery’s popularity is evident by the lines out the door most days. Recognized by connoisseurs, Tatsunoya is dedicated to perfecting the ultimate bowl of ramen. Originating in 2011 in Portland, Oregon, Salt & Straw has quickly become a West Coast favorite for inspired ice cream flavors made with intention.  The family-run business opened in Old Pasadena in late 2019 as the company’s first scoop shop in the San Gabriel Valley - it joins LA locations in the Arts District, Venice, and Larchmont Village, Studio City, and West Hollywood.

Sato Ramen House is an authentic Japanese ramen restaurant only in Old Pasadena. Sato Ramen's mission is to provide their guests with the best Tonkotsu Ramen, using only the finest ingredients and the most advanced techniques developed by their master artisans.

Savvvy's Cafe is a family-owned coffee house welcoming you to their comfortably appointed space to enjoy coffee, creativity, and connection. Their affordable menu features hand-crafted coffee drinks and syrups, including espresso, lattes, protein shakes, charcuterie boards, and baked goods. The houseplants are also for sale!  Along with free wifi and plenty of outlets, Savvvy's location includes an open-air patio.  

SOH Grill House serves modern Korean barbecue with an emphasis on high-quality ingredients, including grown vegetables, prime beef cuts from Northern California, and hand-picked spices.

The restaurant boasts a unique design element too: The grill vents are designed using a type of "down draft system" that pulls smoke out through exhausts vents in the walls, allowing customers to walk away not smelling like smoke or barbecue.

With a name that recalls the Prohibition, The Speakeasy also operates like the “secret” bars from that era: It requires a password to enter, which patrons can obtain by emailing or calling the venue in advance. Sushi Enya in Old Pasadena opened in early 2017 – another location can be found in Little Tokyo in Downtown Los Angeles. Chef Kimiyasu Enya trained for over ten years in Japan – he and the kitchen team receive fresh products from the fish market every day. The menu focuses on fish-based Japanese sushi and American sushi rolls, but also offers contemporary dishes like ceviche and special rolls for vegan diets. Sushi Enya also features daily specials and the chef's tasting "omakase" course. Wine and sake are available.

Sushi Roku combines exceptionally fresh fish with a splash of California innovation to create a range of sushi options, which showcase flavors from a variety of international influences.
