It all began on Melrose Place... and the tradition goes on. With the opening of every new Alfred, whether in Los Angeles or Austin or Tokyo, their mission is one and the same: for every customer, both new or loyal, to walk out of Alfred as thrilled with their experience as they are with their drink. Every location is designed deliberately and individually. Old Pasadena is no different. Enjoy coffee and tea made to order or take home a bag to make at your convenience. As always, the emphasis is on bar-raising drinks, eye-catching designs, and top-notch customer service.

  • Blue Bottle Coffee - originating in Oakland, California in the early 2000s - has grown to a network of cafes across the U.S. and in Japan with the steadfast goal of getting great coffee into the hands of everyone who asks for it. Coffee aficionados can find single origin coffees, blends, and espresso. The artisan coffee roaster works directly with farmers around the world to source the most delicious and sustainable coffees it can find; then they're roasted to exacting flavor standards and served at peak deliciousness. In Old Pasadena, enjoy Blue Bottle's outdoor patio the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Mercantile Place.
