    Pasadena Heritage is celebrating the fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces of the Gilded Age with a Victorian Weekend from Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1.  Old Pasadena takes the stage on Friday, May 30, for a special evening of Victorian Splendor.

    Join Pasadena Heritage for an immersive three-day celebration of Victorian architecture, leisure, and life. From Pasadena’s iconic Castle Green to the Adena Mansion not open to the public in two decades, to the charming Doctors House in Glendale, this weekend will transport you to the Gilded Age through exclusive tours, classic lawn games, and a sunset lawn bowling dinner experience.

    Evening of Victorian Splendor + Dinner in Old Pasadena

    (Only 30 tickets will be sold, including a dinner)

    • Before May 5: Sold only as part of the Package ticket for the entire weekend, with only 30 tickets available
    • Starting May 5 (If available): $65 nonmember / $52 member (20% discount, not eligible for Golden Ticket)

    4:00 – 4:30 PM | History Walk at Central Park
    Begin with a brief walking tour of Central Park in the heart of the Old Pasadena Management District to set the stage for the evening.

    4:30 – 5:15 PM | Castle Green Tour
    Explore this 1887 marvel of Moorish, Spanish, and Victorian design that helped put Pasadena on the map as a destination for the wealthy.

    5:30 – 7:30 PM | Sunset Lawn Bowling & Picnic Dinner
    Head to the Pasadena Lawn Bowling & Croquet Club—founded in 1921 and the oldest of its kind west of the Mississippi—for an unforgettable evening of Victorian pastimes.
    🏆 Enjoy a picnic dinner featuring Mexican food, chicken, and pie!
    🎩 Victorian garb or lawn whites + straw hats encouraged!

     

    SATURDAY, MAY 31 | 1:00 – 6:00 PM
    House Tours + Neighborhood Walk

    1:00 – 6:00 PM | Adena Mansion House Tours
    Step inside a magnificent Queen Anne home blending Gothic Revival, Eastlake, and Italianate styles. Closed to the public for two decades, the home (often seen in film and TV, including Parks & Rec) is now open exclusively for this event.

    1:30 – 6:00 PM | Garfield Heights Walking Tour
    Explore Pasadena’s second-oldest landmark district with the Garfield Heights Neighborhood Association. Trace the neighborhood’s evolution from the 1890s to 1910, and conclude with cookies, lemonade, and backyard games at a 1904 American Foursquare home—just like the good old days!

    Victorian Lawn Games at Glendale’s Doctors House

    In partnership with the Glendale Historical Society, we invite you to Brand Park to visit the stunning Doctors House (Queen Anne/Eastlake) and spend the afternoon enjoying classic Victorian pastimes:
    🧺 Bring a picnic
    🎨 Try your hand at plein air painting
    📖 Relax with a Victorian-era book (while supplies last)
    🎲 Enjoy classic lawn games in a picturesque setting

    Join the Armory on May 31 for Off the Wall, their biennial art auction and spring benefit! Enjoy a silent auction of over 30 works by celebrated contemporary artists, LA's favorite food trucks, open bars, performances, entertainment, and music courtesy of KCRW DJ and Armory alumna Roccio "Wyldeflower" Contreras. All proceeds support the Armory's exhibitions and education programs in your community.

    Early bidding opens May 21. Over 30 works by contemporary artists to bid on via our online auction partner Handbid.

    Enjoy open bars, gourmet fare from local restaurants and LA’s best food trucks, DJ sets from KCRW DJ and Armory Alumni Ro "Wyldeflower" Contreras, and so much more.

    Funds raised will support Armory education and exhibition programs, with 10% of net proceeds supporting the Armory's emergency relief fund for staff and teaching artists that lost homes in the Eaton Fire. With the recent loss of significant federal funding, your support is more important than ever.
