  • The Pasadena Anthropologie is but one of the national chain's nearly 200 stores, but its setting in one of Old Pasadena's historic brick buildings, its creative displays, and the unique mix of clothing, accessories, gifts, and home décor gives it an indie feel. Patrons can meander through the store’s multiple rooms and find clothing for all occasions, dresses both casual and pricey, sleep ware, bed and bath accessories, and a beautiful kitchen section with colorful table settings, gadgets, towels, and aprons. Always make sure to check out the sale room!

Blick Art Materials is in its third generation of family ownership and is the largest and oldest provider of art supplies in the United States. Dick Blick's first catalog originated in 1911, and the Blicks' first product was a lettering pen, which quickly became a bestseller. Their "warehouse" was their kitchen, and their "shipping department" was the Galesburg, Illinois post office.

Today, the chain’s products cater to the full spectrum of artists - from children to well-known, gallery-represented professionals. The store’s reputation centers on its superior customer service, extensive selection, and competitive prices.

    New location on Holly Street!

Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s short story "The Gold Bug," a tale in which a gold scarab leads the way to an incredible discovery of buried pirates’ treasure, the Gold Bug Gallery is, indeed, a treasure trove of rare and unusual wonder. Gold Bug is a 21st-century cabinet of curiosities brought to life by 100+ contemporary artists and bound by threads of science and natural history. Curated with its own neo-Victorian point of view, Gold Bug invites its customers to fall into a truly unique gallery experience, presenting works by some of today’s most interesting emerging designers in a retail space with a museum atmosphere.

As the one-of-a-kind creations on display at the gallery come and go on a daily basis, the store is in constant evolution. Whether you are looking for a piece of jewelry, an article of clothing or accessory to add to your wardrobe, an embellishment for your home, or a gift for a special friend or family member, this is the place to find it.  After 15 years on Union Street, check out Gold Bug at their new larger location on Holly Street!
