Family-owned Anderson Business Technology opened in 1912 as Anderson Typewriter, and in its century of business, it’s had several locations in Old Pasadena. An early advertising slogan was "We sell and service anything that writes," and indeed, the company credits its longevity with its ability to adapt with the times, moving first from manual to electric typewriters and then to computer-based communications.

Today, Anderson offers an array of digital-connected office equipment, as well as stand-alone copiers, fax, printers, shredders, dictation equipment, and calculators. Services include consultation, purchase/lease/rental options, free installation, customized training, and on-going product support.

The Pasadena Apple Store, distinct for its striking Spanish Baroque façade that dates to 1929, is a place to ask questions and get answers. The store teems with employees at the ready to guide you with new purchases or product assistance. The store also offers a variety of presentations and "creative sessions" seven days a week - all free of charge - so users can learn the latest tips and get hands-on assistance with Apple's products and solutions. One of five stores in the Southern California region, the Old Pasadena InCycle Bicycles offers a wide assortment of bicycles, accessories, parts, and services catering to all aspects of the cycling world, including local riders, traveling cycling enthusiasts, and mountain cyclists. Services also include maintenance/repair and rentals.

Shant’s Clock and Watch Repair is a family operation with more than three generations of fine watch experience. Patrons can get a quick battery or band change, get a scratched or shattered crystal repaired, or peruse the great selection of vintage watches for sale. Shant’s also specializes in new and antique clock repairs.
