Homage Pasadena teams up with the Armory Center for the Arts to host an origami workshop in preparation for BoldPas. Homage will be an official Art Stop on June 8 for BoldPas - the staff needs assistance creating the 1,000 paper cranes they'll use for their installation!
The workshop takes place inside the Armory's Community Room. No experience is needed - the Homage team will teach all participants. Refreshments will be served.
The legend of 1,000 cranes is deeply rooted in the Japanese culture. It is said that the one who makes 1,000 cranes will be granted their wish. Come out and help Homage reach 1,000 cranes in honor of Sadako Sasaki, who lost her life to leukemia before being able to make 1,000. As a young victim of the atomic bomb at Hiroshima, her story has become an international symbol of peace throughout the world.
