Old Pasadena Summer Cinema returns for another year as a month-long, FREE movie series featuring screenings in unique urban settings. Running from July 5 – July 27, this annual summer film program features a variety of audience-pleasing movie titles and genres in two outdoor locales in the historic district of Old Pasadena: Central Park and One Colorado. All screenings are free and open to the public.
One Colorado screens Clueless (1995) PG-13 – 97 min. Set in Beverly Hills, Clueless is a mid-1990s adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma but with a distinctly SoCal spin. Characters navigate high school, social statuses, and teenage romance in this coming-of-age cult classic that finds highfalutin Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) embarking on a mission to revamp the new girl in school, Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy).
Limited seating is provided at One Colorado, arrive early to secure a spot. All screenings start at 8:30pm. Silent Disco headsets are available first-come first-served with a California drivers license. Free popcorn from iPic Theaters (while supplies last) and treats for sale from Sugarfina. One Colorado restaurants offer special promotions and pop-up bars - check website for more details.
