Old Pasadena Summer Cinema returns for another year as a month-long, FREE movie series featuring screenings in unique urban settings. Running from July 5 – July 27, this annual summer film program features a variety of audience-pleasing movie titles and genres in two outdoor locales in the historic district of Old Pasadena: Central Park and One Colorado. All screenings are free and open to the public.
One Colorado screens Monsters, Inc. (2001) G – 92 min. The city of Monstropolis is powered by the screams of children, and monsters James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) are the dream team, generating more screams than any other “scarers” each night as they enter the human world through portals to scare children. After a baby named Boo unintentionally finds her way into the monster world, Sulley and Mike must protect her and their friendship, as the movie playfully explores moral conflicts and corporate greed.
Limited seating is provided at One Colorado, arrive early to secure a spot. All screenings start at 8:30pm. Silent Disco headsets are available first-come first-served with a California drivers license. Free popcorn from iPic Theaters (while supplies last) and treats for sale from Sugarfina. One Colorado restaurants offer special promotions and pop-up bars - check website for more details.
