Old Pasadena Summer Cinema returns for another year as a month-long, FREE movie series featuring screenings in unique urban settings. Running from July 5 – July 27, this annual summer film program features a variety of audience-pleasing movie titles and genres in two outdoor locales in the historic district of Old Pasadena: Central Park and One Colorado. All screenings are free and open to the public.
On Saturday, July 6, One Colorado screens Captain America: Civil War (2016) PG-13 – 147 min. Following the Avengers’ role in a biological weapons explosion that kills innocent civilians, the U.N. steps in to install a regulatory system to manage their operations. Captain America (Chris Evans) advocates for the superheroes’ separation from state but faces opposition from Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). The debate escalates when Avengers like Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) take sides.
Limited seating is provided at One Colorado, arrive early to secure a spot. All screenings start at 8:30pm. Silent Disco headsets are available first-come first-served with a California drivers license. Free popcorn from iPic Theaters (while supplies last) and treats for sale from Sugarfina. One Colorado restaurants offer special promotions and pop-up bars - check website for more details.
