Old Pasadena Summer Cinema returns for another year as a month-long, FREE movie series featuring screenings in unique urban settings. Running from July 5 – July 27, this annual summer film program features a variety of audience-pleasing movie titles and genres in two outdoor locales in the historic district of Old Pasadena: Central Park and One Colorado. All screenings are free and open to the public.
Enjoy an outdoor screening of Babe (1995) G – 91 min. 8:30PM. An orphaned piglet, Babe is won at a county fair by Farmer Hoggett (James Cromwell) and brought home to the farm. Here, Babe befriends the barnyard animals, inadvertently challenging the social hierarchies, and further confronts standards with his resilient aspiration of performing the work of a sheepdog.
Summer Cinema screenings in Central Park are in partnership with Human Services and Recreation – City of Pasadena. Come picnic in the park prior to the film and enjoy DJ music, activities for the kids, free ice cream from Paradis (while supplies last). Bring your own chairs and blankets to Central Park.
