Old Pasadena Summer Cinema returns for another year as a month-long, FREE movie series featuring nearly 20 screenings in unique urban locations. Running from July 5 – July 28, this annual summer film program celebrates motion picture in all forms, offering a variety of audience-pleasing movie titles and genres at various locales throughout the historic district of Old Pasadena. All the Old Pasadena Summer Cinema screenings are free and open to the public.

Technicolor Los Angeles is just as much a character in the musical love story La La Land as the characters of struggling actor Mia (Emma Stone) and jazz pianist Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), whose aspirations bring them together and then ultimately drive them apart when their careers pull them in different directions.
La La Land garnered 14 Academy Awards nominations, including Best Picture, tying the record for the most Oscar nominations with All About Eve and Titanic. Wining a total of 6, the film took home Oscars for Best Director, Actress, Cinematography, Score, Song and Production Design.
