Opening in 2008, POP Champagne Bar & Restaurant quickly became a go-to staple for romantic dates and celebrations; indeed, the cozy restaurant welcomes couples, large groups, and everyone in between. Adding to its charm, POP is housed in a historical building that retains many of its original features — brick walls, plank floors, an open-beam ceiling, and Batchelder tiles.
The menu features appetizers, salads, cheese and charcuterie platters, and entrée favorites such as champagne chicken, a five-mushroom risotto, and braised short ribs with truffle mashed potatoes. The oft-praised, extensive dessert menu presents homemade classics such as crème brûlée and soufflé du jour, as well as inventive treats like a Meyer lemon tart with homemade basil ice cream. And, of course, there’s champagne — one of the best selections in Southern California.
