July 12, 1930: The Birth of Pasadena's Street Carnival
A street carnival was held on July 12, 1930 to celebrate the completion of the widening of Colorado Street. “Thousands danced in the street until midnight. There were high hopes for the revitalized business district, considered a big asset to the city and evidence that Pasadena was moving ahead.”
