| Description : | Sushi Roku is the brainchild of Michael Hide Cardenas, Lee Maen, Craig Katz, and Phillip Cummins. Supported by Hollywood celebrities and high profile investors, Michael Cardenas has assembled an all-star culinary staff from the Japanese restaurant scene. Along with its other two well known and highly regarded Hollywood and Santa Monica locations, renowned architect Dodd Mitchell has designed a Japanese country style Zen-like atmosphere which is the backdrop for the vast and colorful menu which lists an array of fresh sushi, luscious salads, hot and cold specialty appetizers, and an extensive selection of hot entrees. Executive Kitchen Chef Vernon Cardenas is classically French trained with cooking techniques from China, Thailand, Korea, and Japan where Chef Cardenas spent over ten years studying the cooking styles and methods of the orient. Executive Sushi Chef Hiroshi Shima, trained in the classic Kaiseki style of cooking, will give diners a new experience with sushi and sashimi using olive oils, chili peppers, and caviars like never paired before in cooking. The full service bar offers a large list of handpicked premium sakes and specialty Asian martinis.
