Tuesday, July 06, 2010 to Tuesday, August 31, 2010 Presented by: Pasadena Senior Center Concerts in the Park The Pasadena Senior Center presents their musical series Concerts in the Park Every Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm through August 31. Spend summer evenings listening to the best variety of musical styles from around the world. Concert goers are welcome to bring a picnic or dine at the concert BBQ Snack Bar featuring a selection of hot and cold food items. July Schedule: July 6 – The Tumbling Tumbleweeds perform a tribute to the era of the "Singing Cowboys" Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and The Sons of the Pioneers. July 13 – Alan Chapman and Karen Benjamin, this husband-and-wife team present an evening of popular in “Music – One More Time!” July 20 – The Perfect Gentlemen offer a blend of A Capella harmony and humor hearkening back to the days of the old Vaudeville shows. July 27 – Pasadena Youth Summer Chamber Orchestra performs Classical Music. August Schedule: August 3: Crown City Chorus, Pasadena’s Award-Winning Barbershop. August 10: Lisa Haley and the Zydekats, Grammy Award Winners: A joyful Americana/Cajun/Zydeco act. This Concert is sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. August 17: The Fishtank Ensemble - Romanian folk music with a healthy helping of flamenco, Swedish folk music, klezmer and Gypsy jazz. August 24: Billy and the Hillbillies - A musical/variety group performing regularly at Disneyland showcases a bluegrass and country show. August 31: The Great American Swing Band - Songs of the Big Band Era. The 2010 Concerts in the Park series is sponsored by the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts. Free and open to the public |
