Set in 1927, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a famous on-screen romantic couple but Lina mistakes the onscreen romance for real love. When Lina’s and Don’s latest movie is transformed into a musical, Don is perfect for the part with a great singing voice. However, Lina’s voice must be dubbed over. An aspiring actress named Kathy Selden is brought in and Don quickly falls in love with her. Will Kathy get the big break she deserves?
